Kevin Mapstone has over twenty years painting and decorating experience, both in the domestic and commercial market. Kevin began his training by completing a two year graphic design course, which realised his enthusiasm for specialist decoration. Following this course, Kevin gained a distinction in Advanced Craft City and Guilds and undertook two years of training in marbling and graining. Kevin also had extensive training with a London-based decorative artist.
Kevin has lectured part time at college on non-vocational courses in decorative paint techniques and taught for two years in City & Guilds interior design and paint techniques.
Kevin Mapstone Specialist Decorators is a small, family-run business offering a superior standard of service. Kevin works alongside his son Tom, who joined the company in 2005 and is now a fully qualified decorator.
Kevin and Tom have worked for leading furniture designers and have worked for and advised interior designers and architects. Examples of their work have been published in leading interior design magazines, including Home and Gardens.
Each and every job is undertaken with the greatest of care and the highest degree of professionalism.
